State Representative Dan Forestal has lived in Indiana House District 100 nearly his entire life and was elected to the State Legislature on Nov. 6, 2012.

Dan’s goals at the Legislature include bringing jobs to the area, making sure every child gets a world-class education, and protecting hard-working middle class families.

Currently an Indianapolis firefighter, Dan has also served as a bailiff in Marion County Superior Court 11 and as a jail guard at Marion County Jail II. He also started a small business that buys and rehabilitates abandoned homes in Indianapolis.

Dan has dedicated his life to serving his community. He is an active member in Firefighters Local 416, International Association of Firefighters, and the Indianapolis Fire Department’s Emerald Society. Dan’s community involvement has included working with Habitat for Humanity, the Knights of Columbus, and the Wheeler Mission.

Dan has also attended Ivy Tech and Indiana University—Purdue University Indianapolis.
