Gracia Berrios is a communications intern with MAP.
Previously, Gracia interned in the office of Representative Nanette Barragán (D-CA 44) where she worked closely with the communications department. She recently earned her B.A. in Spanish with a minor in Criminal Justice at San Francisco State University.
Gracia was born in Lima, Peru, immigrated to the U.S. with her family when she was a year old, and grew up in northern California. Growing up, she had the opportunity to work at her local Redwood Gospel Mission, a nonprofit that concentrates on homelessness and engages low-income immigrant communities. Gracia takes pride in her heritage and holds a strong command of the Spanish language which has helped her understand the Latinx community in a more meaningful way.
She enjoys hikes, her mom’s delicious arroz con pollo, attempting to salsa dance, and exploring new places in D.C.
