Nick Maschari is a Senior Advisor to the Millennial Action Project. Previously, he served as the Interim Chief Operating Officer.
Prior to joining MAP, Nick was the Senior Director of Client Development of Atlantic Media Strategies, the digital and creative consulting arm of the Atlantic Media Company, based in Washington, D.C. In his role, Nick led the development and implementation of the business development and growth strategies for AMS across corporate, non-profit, and media verticals.
Prior to joining Atlantic Media, Nick was Director of Global Business Development with APCO Worldwide, one of the largest independent strategic communication and public affairs firms in the world. In his role, he had responsibility for global new client opportunities and coordinating business development activities across practice groups and 33 offices around the world. While with APCO, he spent considerable time based in the Arabian Gulf region, a high-growth market, where he helped lead capacity building and skill development programs for teams located in the UAE and Qatar.
Earlier in his career, Nick worked for DFS Group Ltd, a subsidiary of luxury goods conglomerate Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH), and was based in Hong Kong. His work with DFS focused on corporate and business development with an emphasis on emerging markets and new market entry in Asia, Oceania and the Middle East.
Nick is the current Board Chair of ProjectCreate, a DC-based arts non-profit focused on delivering art instruction and education for youth experiencing homelessness. He is also a member of the Middle East Institute and a member of the Young Leaders Council, a collection of advisers to the Millennial Action Project.
Nick holds a BA cum laude in Journalism from the Reed College of Media at West Virginia University. He resides on Capitol Hill with his wife, Kelly, a third-grade teacher with DC Public Schools.
