MAP partnered with Pepperdine University, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum, and Creative Artists Agency to host its second annual Future Summit.  A bipartisan group of roughly fifty state legislators, hailing from more than two dozen states, convened with leading policy experts in Malibu, CA for a day of connection, innovation, and collaboration on “next generation policies” affecting young people across the country.

Alaskan Legislators Form AK Future Caucus

On April 27, members of the Alaska legislature announced the formation of the Alaska Future Caucus.  Under the leadership of Representative Jason Grenn (I-22), Representative Geran Tarr (D-19), and Senator David Wilson (R-D).  The caucus launch of legislators 45 and under, adds Alaska to MAP’s nationwide State Future Caucus Network.

MAP Launches 25th State Future Caucus in Arizona

MAP has reached a major milestone in its nearly five-year history. On Wednesday, April 18, MAP announced the launch of its 25th state Future Caucus in Arizona with House Speaker Pro Tempore T.J. Shope (R-8), Representative Mark Cardenas (D-19), and nearly twenty young elected officials at the Arizona State Capitol’s Rose Garden.

Michigan Legislators Launch MI Future Caucus

On Wednesday, March 14, Representatives Abdullah Hammoud (D-15) and Jim Lilly (R-89) announced the creation of the MI Future Caucus, which aims to solve these problems by focusing on people over party. The two co-chairs were joined by nearly twenty young elected officials at the Michigan State House to launch the initiative.

Kansas Legislators Form Bipartisan Future Caucus

On Tuesday, February 6, Representatives Stephanie Clayton (R-Overland Park) and Brandon Whipple (D-Wichita) announced the creation of the Kansas Future Caucus. On Thursday, October 12th, Representatives Julie Emerson (R-39) Ted James (D-101) announced the creation of the Louisiana Future Caucus. The two co-chairs were joined by over 13 other elected officials and MAP staff to launch the initiative, which will provide a platform for lawmakers to share ideas and coalesce around issues that affect young Louisianans.
