Representative Dr. Jasmine Clark

Dr. Jasmine Clark is a State Representative, scientist, and mother of two from Atlanta, Georgia. She received her BS in Biological Sciences, with a concentration in Microbiology, from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 2005. Following her graduation from UTK, she attended Emory University’s Laney Graduate School where she received her Doctoral Degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics in 2013. 

She currently serves as a Lecturer of Microbiology and Human Anatomy and Physiology at the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University. She is also an active member of her community; in 2017, she served as Director of the March for Science held in Atlanta and has been involved with the Georgia Alliance for Social Justice.

She was elected to office in 2018 when she beat out six-year incumbent Clay Cox. She has represented Georgia’s 108th district since 2019.
