Representative Julie Fahey

Oregon Future Caucus, Co-Chair (D)

Since 2017, Julie Fahey has served as the State Representative for Oregon’s House District 14, including West Eugene, Bethel, and Junction City. She is a member of the House Business & Labor Committee, the House Economic Development & Trade Committee, the Joint Committee on Student Success, and the Joint Ways & Means Subcommittee on General Government, which addresses budgets for a variety of state agencies. She is committed to government transparency, access to quality education, and creating economic opportunities for all Oregonians.

Fahey has eighteen years of experience in the private sector as a business consultant and co-founder of a human resources consulting firm for businesses and non-profits. Through her work, she helps employers pay their employees fairly, build skilled workforces, and make their organizations great places to work. Prior to becoming a legislator, she served as the Treasurer for the Democratic Party of Oregon and as the Chair of the Lane County Democratic Party.

In her spare time, Fahey has served as an officer in her Eugene-based chapter of PEO, a philanthropic organization that provides scholarships and educational opportunities for women around the world. She is also an avid hiker and has volunteered as a mentor with Big City Mountaineers, an organization that leads backpacking and wilderness trips for underserved youth. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2000 with a B.S. in Chemistry.
