Kristin Strobel

BGR Group

In January 2017, Kristin joined the BGR Group, to assist clients in areas as diverse as executive policy, legislative debates and regulatory issues. She leads outreach to multistate policy organizations such as the National Governors Association (NGA), the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) and the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) as well as political organizations state government leaders rely on to advance their priorities. Previously, Kristin served as the Director of State Government Affairs for the Entertainment Software Association, a U.S. association exclusively dedicated to serving the business and public affairs needs of companies that publish computer and video games. Her work at ESA focuses on managing state and local legislative issues, in addition to monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing issues related to content, ratings, privacy, e-commerce, intellectual property, and tax matters. Kristin joined ESA’s team in July of 2014 and has provided testimony before state and local legislative bodies. Kristin also served as a James Madison Fellow in May of 2016.

Kristin moved from Ohio to the Washington DC area at the end of 2013 to pursue an opportunity with another trade association. While in Ohio, Kristin served as the Director of Policy and Legislation for Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, as a Senior Legislative Aide to the Ohio Senate President and Majority Whip, and as a Legislative Fellow to the Ohio Senate. Kristin’s Masters and Bachelors Degrees in Political Science are from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Kristin grew up in Northwest Ohio in the Village of Ottawa Hills.
