Hawaii Future Caucus members introduced HCR178/ HR136 to the Hawaii State House of Representatives. This bill would direct the state's Office of Elections to make more early voting locations available. It also requested to make University of Hawaii's campus a voting location in order to encourage youth voter turnout.

The Hawaii Future Caucus, comprised of local elected leaders under the age of 40, believes that getting young people to vote is one of the best ways to get them involved in government.

"Improved voter participation and transparency in government are not issues exclusive to any one political party,” said Rep. Takashi Ohno. “By addressing these obstacles, we make government accessible and appealing to an entire generation of young people and help them transition into roles of active citizenship.”
